The Slackers are running for HOPE

July 28, 2021 by Jesiree Driskell

Who are the Slackers, you ask? We’re a group of friends who found a mutual love for running at Disney (mainly instigated by @oxandspoon)

What are they doing? We’re taking on a worthy cause and voluntarily running 48.6 miles over four days in what runDisney lovingly calls the Dopey Challenge—5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon.

Why? We’re supporting Kellsie’s Hope Foundation, as part of @kellsieskrew, a wonderful, volunteer-led charity that gives hope to kids (and their families) with a cancer diagnosis, raises support and awareness for childhood cancer research, and supports healthcare education. Whew! They cover a lot of ground!

I took my run down to Old Town Helotes

June 27, 2019 by Jesiree Driskell

A few friends and I took on the Texas Tough 10-miler, and it lived up to its name. By far, it was the hardest course I’ve ever encountered in my short running career. But it was worth the memories.

When you're a creative trying to be creative

June 12, 2018 by Jesiree Driskell

The hardest thing for me as a creative is settling on an idea for myself.

Is it creative enough?

Does it stand out?

Does is tell the world who I am?

Is it good enough to represent me?

Sometimes the answer to these questions is just to create, to make, to do. The creativity can be in the creating itself.
